Original Nazi Police Dress Bayonet by Alexander Coppel

This is an extremely fine high quality dress dagger with a lovely 13 1/8" cut-down nickeled steel blade bearing the maker's name on one side of the blade ricasso, and the maker's logo on the other side. The blade leather washer is missing. This bayonet features heavy nickel-plated brass fittings on the hilt, with the eagle-head pommel being the "unslotted" variety. The grip features stag panels with the aluminum Police eagle/swastika grip emblem attached. The bayonet crossguard bears the Police unit and inventory number "L.Ar.168." while the scabbard throat fitting bears the Police unit and inventory number "S.D.V.399". The scabbard has tight stitching and has 100% of its black leather covering with just the usual surface dings. The nickel-plated scabbard fittings are bright and rate extremely fine with no dents.
