Nazi Army Officer’s Dress Dagger by Alcoso. This is an outstanding earlier Army officer’s dagger with all-nickeled fittings throughout. This dagger features the desirable Alcoso “scales” acid-etched maker’s logo on the blade for this well-known Solingen dagger maker. Nazi SA Dagger by J.P. Sauer & Sohn. This is an earlier SA dagger with the sought-after maker’s logo on the blade for the “J.P. Sauer & Sohn Suhl” maker. This dagger has all nickel fittings on the dagger and scabbard with the crossguard having the “Fr” Gau marking. I was informed that this SA dagger rates “Rarity 3” on a popular SA dagger rarity scale with 23,000 made. The dagger’s bright unsharpened polished steel blade has no edge dings and has the usual light surface scratches and some cloudiness. The blade features a nice sharp pointed straight tip. The blade also has the acid-etched “Alles fur Deutschland” motto. The shaped wood dagger grip has a few edge chips mostly next to the crossguard on the back. Otherwise, the grip has just a few small surface dings. The undented dagger steel scabbard body retains most of its original brown anodized finish with scattered surface rust spots and freckling. All four of the original nickel scabbard screws are present. The nickel scabbard fittings rate fine with a few very light surface dents and the typical very small dimple dent on the ball end. The brown leather hanger features a nickel buckle and snap. The hanger strap leather shows some age and wear. Our price…$525. SOLD

Nazi SA “Ground Roehm” Dagger by J.A. Henckels. This is an outstanding earlier SA dagger with the sought-after “Henckel’s twins” maker’s logo on the blade for the J.A. Henckels Zwillingswerk Solingen maker. Part of the maker’s logo is missing and was removed when the Roehm inscription was removed upon orders of the Nazi party. The expertly done removal appears to be factory done as the blade was re-finished and the area cross-grained again during the period. This dagger has all nickel fittings on the dagger and scabbard. The crossguard end is marked with the “BO” Gau marking. I was informed that this SA dagger rates “Rarity 7” on a popular SA dagger rarity scale. I’m not sure how many “Ground Roehm” daggers were made by Henckels. The dagger’s bright unsharpened polished steel blade has much of its original cross-graining present with typical light runner marks from the scabbard and a few small spots. The blade features a nice sharp pointed straight tip. The blade also has the deeply acid-etched “Alles fur Deutschland” motto with a bit of the darkening agent still present in the letters. The shaped wood dagger grip rates very fine with no cracks and two very small edge chips next to the pommel. Otherwise, the grip has a few small surface dings. All four of the original nickel scabbard screws are present.
